Simply click next from the first screen, and you’ll be on the screen that asks you to simply turn off and turn on the wireless mouse or keyboard. It is available for Windows (XP or later), Mac and Chrome OS. To get started, you need to download the Logitech unifying software and install it on your computer. That’s enough to take care of most uses cases, but if you crave for more, maybe configure 2 wireless receivers and take care of all your 12 devices. You can pair up to 6 wireless devices to the single unifying wireless receiver. Pair other mouse and keyboard to the unifying USB receiver That’s the Plug it and forget it tagline that Logitech uses to market its wireless products. So, you can keep one USB receiver always plugged into your laptop and it will connect and communicate with all of your wireless peripherals. Logitech has an easy to use unifying software which allows you to connect multiple Logitech products using the same receiver. Do you need to keep on switching the USB receivers to make this work? That’s clearly 4 receivers to take care of and manage everyday. One, that you want to leave at work and the other at home. I probably end up starting and stopping my grunt process 10-20x a day, and this has become a huge inconvenience (although one my co-workers find pretty amusing).Another uses case is where you have multiple mice and keyboard pair for your laptop. but I keep the MBP lid closed almost all the time. I should also mention the built in touchpad never stops working. I can close any other program and the mouse also works just fine. If I close the last open Chrome window though my mouse completely stops responding immediately. I can open an incognito window and close it, and my mouse is also fine. I can open a second window and close it and my mouse works just fine. I can close tabs without affecting my mouse. It ONLY happens when a Chrome process completely stops. The problem is unrelated to grunt/karma because if I close the Chrome browser I'm writing this question in - a browser I manually launched - my mouse also stops working. If I manually close the browser karma launched (without stopping the grunt process) the mouse also stops working. This of course closes Chrome and then my mouse stops working. There are times when I need to use Command+ C to stop the tasks. As part of my grunt build process Chrome is launched to run karma unit tests. You might ask, "why would you close Chrome then?" Well, I wouldn't, but I'm a web developer. at least until the next time I close Chrome. If I unplug the wireless USB receiver and then immediately plug it back in, my mouse will start working immediately. I've waited up to 5 minutes and the mouse never responds. For about the past two weeks, whenever I close Chrome my mouse completely stops responding. I've got a MacBook Pro with El Capitan, and hooked up to it I have a Logitech Performance MX mouse with a 2.4GHz wireless receiver. Yes, this is a weird question, but I promise this is what is actually happening.
